While the world is still waiting for their debut offering WZRD, KiD CuDi and Dot Da Genius are already setting their sights on a five-track EP for release this spring as a follow-up project due this spring. As Rap-Up points out, the announcement was made during the album’s listening party in Hollywood on Monday night.

“We are doing an EP already and it’s going to be coming out in a couple months,” CuDi told the crowd. “We just can’t stop making records. I made a new record the other day that’s really, really, really phenomenal. So we’re gonna put out this five-track EP just to fuckin’ put out some jams.” while Dot added, “The EP is gonna be great. Expect greatness,”

Before this comes to fruition, the duo releases the self-titled debut on February 28 featuring the singles “Teleport 2 Me, Jamie” and “Brake.”

In addition, the duo is planning to launch a tour in April, which will start in Europe and then head to the U.S. “This album is something the world needs to hear,” explained Cudi.

Meet Sleigh Bells. In 2010, the Brooklyn-based noise pop outfit has enjoyed great success with their debut album Treats due to a “genre-swerving” and universally appealing. Comprised of vocalist Alexis Kraus and producer Derek E. Miller, the duo has garnered the attention of industry heavyweights such as M.I.A., Spike Jonze or Diplo. Now, with their second album, Reign of Terror, Miller and Kraus approach a much darker tone, thus sonically distancing themselves from their first album.
