SENSE: COMME des GARCONS JUNYA WATANABE MAN and eYe 2013 Spring/Summer Collection Preview

With the winter weather settling in across the Northern Hemisphere, COMME des GARCONS designer Junya Watanabe brings us a glimpse of what we can expect to see from him once the temperature starts to rise with this preview of the 2013 spring/summer offerings from his MAN and eYe lines. A strong array of pastel shades gives the collection a light and seasonal feel with floral designs, stripes and solid colors used to great effect. Check patterns make an inevitable return but perhaps not as prominent as in previous seasons. The Champion collaborations continue with the long-established sports clothing manufacturer being encouraged to step away from the usual hooded tops and sweatshirts this time. The result is a rather interesting looking Riders jacket creation. Along with Champion, Levi’s again lends a helping hand to the denim side of things whilst traditional American workwear creators Pointer Brand chimes in with a specially modified coverall piece.
