MYKITA 2013 Spring/Summer Collection

The circle is a recurring theme in MYKITA’s designs this Spring/Summer 2013. The gold/warm grey KAISA and silver/neon pink SIGUR from the MYKITA Lite collection here demonstrate a focus on fine contours. Classic and yet ultra-contemporary, these frames showcase the radical simplicity of the delicate round form. The glossy gold TAULANT in the second picture recalls the early days of sports goggles, boasting a long bridge connecting the two frame sections for boosted stability. This sporty vintage 1930s look would have been regularly sighted back then on those with outdoor pursuits like plane flying or motorcycle cruising, but it probably sits just as well on the indolent cafe hipster of today.
