Diplo Makes List of Unusual Requests for His Show at Pier 94 in Manhattan

While we’ve all heard stories of artists taking their celebrity status too far by making unusual requests to feel accommodated by their venues, Diplo‘s latest list of demands for his December 30 show at Pier 94 in Manhattan may be the best you’ve heard to date. Including items such as a gorilla, an orphan from Malawi and a talking parrot, Diplo sent a rider to the venue with a list that included the following items and demands:

A gorilla (“Silverback is preferred, an orangutan is also acceptable”), one Malawi orphan, one “parrot that is trained to say [Diplo’s] name,” one arranged marriage, one dart board (“with Nicolas Cage’s face on it”), one violin player (“to play while we eat our cheese plate”), two inflatable animals (“bonus points for endangered or extinct species”), the third season of “Lost” (“on VHS tapes”) and a “1983 Yak Face ‘Star Wars: Return of the Jedi’ action figure (“new in package”).

No word yet as to if all the items were collected and delivered, but it’s safe to assume Pier 94 had to figure alternatives for almost all of these items. How would your personal requests stack up?
