Adele, Fiona Apple, The Black Keys, Rick Ross and many more were all announced today to have made the shortlist of 75 nominees selected for the Academy Award for Best Original Song for a feature-length motion picture. Adele received the nomination for her single “Skyfall,” off the latest James Bond film, The Black Keys contributed “Baddest Man Alive” to RZA’s The Man with the Iron Fists, and Rick Ross got a nod for his Django Unchained track ”100 Black Coffins.” The full list also includes tracks from Katy Perry, Dolly Parton, John Legend, Arcade Fire, Norah Jones, Mumford & Sons and plenty other quality hopefuls. The final list of nominees will be announced on January 10, and the 85th Annual Academy Awards, set to be hosted by Seth MacFarlane, will air on February 24.
