For the Andy Warhol fans out there, you can now own a piece of history as the famous painter and pop icon’s personal 1940s Rolex is up for grabs. Originally purchased by Warhol from one Russel R. Brown, this watch was sold at the artist’s 1988 estate auction after his death and has remained in private hands until now. The watch is made from solid rose gold with a rose gold and steel bracelet added to the watch by the Pop Art icon himself. The clean, uncluttered dial is silver tone with rose gold numerals, blue hands, and a seconds dial at 6 o’clock with rose gold hand. Powering this watch is an automatic movement which should still keep good time 70 years on. Priced at $30,000 USD, serious inquiries can be directed to 1stdibs.com.
