The Seshen - A Case of You (Joni Mitchell Cover)

During their debut concert in Los Angeles the other week, abstract Bay Area band The Seshen wowed the crowd with a cover of Joni Mitchell’s 1971 classic, “A Case of You.” Much to everyone’s pleasure, they announced that the track would be released as part of a tribute to one of the legendary songstress’s most renowned and acclaimed albums, Blue. Now, the whole world can ingest their take on the popular acoustic folk song. But it’s not a track led by string instruments this time around. While the lyrics remain the same, The Seshen’s soulful electronic version of “A Case of You” is markedly different from the original and from other covers of it, such as James Blake’s.
