NBA's The Association Will Follow the Brooklyn Nets Through Their Rookie Season
There has arguably never been a relocated professional team with the same anticipation and fanfare
There has arguably never been a relocated professional team with the same anticipation and fanfare as the NBA‘s Brooklyn Nets. Mind you much of the interest resides in the ever-popular part owner Jay-Z, who has done an admirable job of bringing awareness to his newest business endeavor. Despite the fact that Jay-Z’s minuscule stake in the franchise totals less than 1%, he has taken the reins ranging from the creatives associated with the Nets including branding to creating a sense of community amongst Brooklynites. But before we lose perspective that the Brooklyn Nets are in fact a basketball team, the NBA’s The Association are set to follow the Nets through their inaugural season which starts November 1 against crosstown rivals, the New York Knicks. Coming off a 22-44 record last season, expect a mix of highs and lows for a team that will be continually put under the cultural microscope.
