Nike’s Lunarlon sole has accompanied a broad range of models since it was introduced. One of the more favorable iterations came as the Cole Haan Lunargrand line, and new insight into the preliminary stages of the shoe is now available for viewing. A cross section of the sole shows us cushioning and pressure absorption elements that have allowed several Lunarlon models to garner popularity release amongst many. Designed to align with the tibia bone, through these sketches the conceptual stages become clear from this project by Nike and Cole Haan. Additional drawings touch on the design of the upper and its adherence to a more traditional shoe.
