The Kills – The Last Goodbye

Samantha Morton, an accomplished two-time Academy Award-winner brings a cinematic approach to directing in her very first music video, “The Last Goodbye” by the Kills from their Blood Pressures LP. As the trailer above indicates, the video is in celebration of the Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince music partnership which has lasted 10 years. The clip brings a simple vintage look showing the two posing inside a photo booth. Forgoing a digital camera, a 35mm was used to give the video a classic film aesthetic.

As of February 14, the song will be released in a four-track package via Domino Records. In addition to the CD and digital release of the single, a limited edition 10” vinyl available for pre-order will accompany the release. Also further adding to the release, one can expect to see covers of such as The Velvet Underground’s Pale Blue Eyes, Patsy Cline’s Crazy, and Marilyn Monroe’s One Silver Dollar.
