Nicki Minaj to perform at the 2012 Grammy Awards

Each new year brings us a new award season. 2012 is certainly no different. Young Money’s First Lady Nicki Minaj has confirmed that she will perform at this year’s Grammy Award festivities. The Queens native was added to the event’s lineup which also includes Kelly Clarkson, the Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars and Jason Aldean. Ms. Minaj has been nominated in four categories, including Best New Artist, whereas Kanye West leads the list with seven nominations and the Foo Fighters, Adele and Mr. Mars follow up with six nods each. It has yet to be seen if Adele and Yeezy will also grace the stage with a live performance. The show airs live on CBS on February 12.
