After ending 2011 on a strong note by releasing a brand new, well-received EP, teaming up with the folks at Daytrotter for a session that made their ‘Best of 2011’ list, and last but not least, hitting No. 1 on the prestigious ‘Most Popular Songs’ chart on Hype Machine, a lot seems to be in store for young British singer-songwriter and musician Daughter in the new year. She and her band have wowed audiences all throughout the UK with their poignant, unique, folk-infused sound and will finally be making their United States debut at SXSW in March. But before they come overseas to Austin, TX, they will continue to hit venues such as the breathtaking St. Giles in the Fields Church in London’s West End, which they graced the presence of last month. Beautifully-faded, high quality videos of Elena Tonra and her bandmates Igor and Remi performing in the 18th century structure are being released to give fans around the world a taste of the experience. The first was The Wild Youth EP’s closing track, “Love,” and now we get the equally-as-powerful “Youth.” Watch the clip above.
