Azealia Banks – NEEDSUMLUV

Azealia Banks released “NEEDSUMLUV” via her Twitter account today in a collaboration with producer Machinedrum. The track features a beat from Machinedrum’s “SXLND” track and also features a sample from Aaliyah’s “One In A Million.” No word on whether the release date of this track was a coincidence, but January 16 is also the date of the late R&B singer’s birthday, who had she had been with us today, would’ve been her 33rd. RIP. Banks went on to tweet about the track, stating:

“It’s R&B but hella progressive,” and “it’s about being a guy’s other girl. It’s about knowing that ur number #2, but still sticking around in hopes of becoming #1.”
