araabMUZIK tests out the MPC Renaissance

araabMUZIK stops by the Akai Pro offices to check out the new MPC Renaissance. It’s clear that the producer was using stock sounds rather than his own custom sets and there also seems to be a bit of a latency issue – we can only speculate at this point that it may point to a slow CPU or not enough memory. Either that or araab was just having a feel around the machine allowing for a few slip-ups, which would then leave you wondering as to why Akai would upload the video in the first place? The Renaissance is set for its public debut at the NAMM trade show in Anaheim, California on January 19. Time will tell as to whether the producer will stick to his trusty MPC2500 or take on Akai’s latest offering in the Renaissance.
