Right before their before their show with Fleet Foxes in Seattle, The Walkmen stopped by local radio station KEXP to perform a special in-studio session. The quintet stab at covering classics from music legends Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan during their stop at Seattle radio station KEXP. The band performed “Wanted Man,” “Mr. Lonesome” and “Darlin’ Companion,” and admitted that two of the tunes were actually covers of songs that Johnny Cash covered. “Wanted Man” is a Bob Dylan song while “Darlin’ Companion” was originally recorded by the Lovin’ Spoonful but the band chose to reinterpret Johnny Cash versions. Enjoy!
