For Fall/Winter 2011, cult denim label PRPS launches “Noir,” a luxurious capsule collection of Japanese denim washed with varying degrees of black dye. To celebrate the collection, they teamed up with London luxury retailer, Matches, for a special charity auction, “THE ART OF NOIR.” Artists, including Gavin Turk, Tim Noble & Sue Webster and Mark Titchner, were among those invited to turn their hand to a piece of the new collection. Their interpretations were among the night’s items auctioned off will all proceeds being donated to UNICEF’s work with children affected by the Japanese tsunami. Bidding closes on Sunday, September 18, 2011 with winning bids announced the following day.
