Nike Miyashita Cup 2011 Video Recap

A few weeks ago, Nike hosted its first ever Nike Miyashita Cup in Tokyo at Miyashita Park. Aside from the obvious focus on small-sided football, the event’s power was entirely harnessed over the week prior in hopes of both motivating the community and ensuring they didn’t stress the local power grid. Amidst some less than ideal conditions, the competition looked fierce including several rather dubious challenges that would make you think that this was more than just a casual affair. Several short interviews were also conducted with stylist Yohei Usami, mita’s Creative Director Shigeyuki Kunii, Nitraid’s XBS, and BEDWIN/Deluxe International PR and HYPEBEAST alumni, Jey “My football is as beautiful as Barcelona” Perie. Hirofumi Kiyonaga’s F.C.R.B. took home top honors with a good ol’ fashioned thrashing in the final.
