Originally established to help set an international photography market in Japan in 2009, Tokyo Photo today is known as one of the outstanding art photo events and has attracted over 15,000 visitors in their two years of exhibiting. The growing nature of the event has resulted in plans to double that number by this year. This year curator of photography Dr. Simon Baker of Tate Modern, London’s international center for modern art, has planned to organize a specially commissioned exhibition. The photo fair will feature leading galleries from Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, London and Amsterdam. Further information can be found here.
