G-Shock x Globe Collection

Following up on their efforts of early last year, G-Shock and skate brand Globe reconvene on a new capsule of products. Encompassing the strengths of both respective brands, this takes shape with the unveiling of the GRX5600GE-1 watch ($140 USD), the Cruiserboard ($180 USD) and the all-new Comanche Boot ($90 USD). The overall design inspirations are taken from military night operatives, hence the mostly blacked-out look contrasted by red detailing. A release is set for November through select retailers.

G-Shock Collaborates with GLOBE for the Second Time Cohesively Combining G-Shocks Functionality with the Boardsports Influence

DOVER, NJ, August 3, 2011 — United By Fate once again, G-Shock and GLOBE join forces for the second installment of their collaborative timepiece, and skate lifestyle products, consisting of a dual branded Cruiserboard and boot.

Inspired by military night operatives, the uniform matte black, GRX5600GE-1 timepiece features a contrasting red LCD display with a subtle integration of the GLOBE logo on the face and band along with a fabric band keeper. Staying true to G-Shock’s toughness and technology, the GRX5600GE-1 features, Shock Resistance, 200M Water Resistance, Tough Solar power and tide/moon graphs making it the perfect accessory for any action sport enthusiast. To compliment the design of the watch, the boardsports products are also produced in a sleek black with red accents.

In addition, the timepiece is outfitted with; 48-City World Time, dual countdown timer, 1/100th Sec. Stopwatch, 4 Multi-Function Alarms & 1 Snooze, 24-Hr military format and a mute function for those stealth missions.

The Cruiserboard is 8.5” x 32” and is constructed of 7-ply hardrock maple with custom Globe EVA traction foam grip that’s easy on the feet. Premium 58mm/78A urethane wheels and Slant trucks with GLOBE first bushings provide a smooth and nimble ride.

GLOBE’s all new Comanche Boot is made from irregular leather, canvas and shaved suede for a vintage military look, has a rear zip entry, waxed rope laces and a metal speed lace collar to tie things up. It also comes with a custom vintage dog tag.

The limited edition G-Shock x GLOBE timepiece will be available for purchase in November for $140 at select Fashion and action sport retailers. G-Shock x GLOBE Comanche boot will be available for $89.95 and the cruiser board for $179.95.
