American denim brand Levi’s has been experiencing a very happy resurgence of both relevance and popularity lately due to an appreciation for their old-school aesthetics abroad as well as a longing for heritage products in the USA. Latest from the jean shop comes a collaboration with another stateside brand born out of the gold rush of the late 1800s: Filson. From the unexpected use of mustard on a Western-styled shirt to deep-cut denim vests, an over-dyed black trucker jacket and waxed cotton hunting coat, the collection embodies a nontraditional take on standard outdoorsy fare. It’s nice to see Levi’s teaming up with a fellow workwear brand for once instead of emphasizing the high fashion route. Available now at Levi’s and Filson brick & mortar stores as well as online.
