While Big Boi has been enjoying great success with his excellent solo LP Sir Lucious Leftfoot: Sun of CHico Dusty, the world has been wondering where his partner in rhyme, Andre 3000, was hiding. Despite a few cameo appearances, new music from one of the game’s most respected lyricists has been scarce. However, Hip-Hop Wired now reports that both emcees have been more than busy in the recording studio as they are planning on releasing solo albums before the end of the year, followed by a brand new OutKast album in 2012.

OutKast is on track to release a new album by early next year. Both Dre and Big are working on solo projects; they want those out by the end of 2011.

Rumor for now, but stay tuned.
