As you probably know by now, the CLOT Travelling Mickey project was designed to bring art and commerce together by allowing several well-respected aesthetes the opportunity to give the iconic mouse a makeover. The “traveling” portion of the exhibition kicked off recently on July 15 at Shanghai’s “Man Is In The Forest” Disney pop-up store. The globetrotting Mickeys’ debut event included the likes of both CLOT co-founders Kevin Poon and Edison Chen who helped usher in a strong mix of foreign artists, as well as Madsaki, JAM HOME MADE’s Motonori Masui, and Ben Yue and Guenther Hake of Disney. If you’ve got money to spend and are a fan of art, Mickey Mouse or both, each of the individual artist pieces are available for auction from now until September 30, 2011, 23:59 (GMT -8) at Travelling Mickey.
