Back in 2008, Brooklyn-based indie electro-pop band Chairlift rose to popularity after their single, “Bruises,” was featured on an iPod Nano commercial. The band released their impressive major label debut album, Does You Inspire You, that same year, but not a whole lot has been heard from them since. However, their as-of-yet untitled third album should be making its way onto the market sometime in the not-so-distant future by way of Columbia Records. In preparation for it, Chairlift decided to release a new song, entitled “Amanaemonesia,” which will be available as a limited edition 7” single on August 16 via Terrible Records. For now, stream the song below. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, no, the title of the song is not a real word.
