Beyoncé's '4' tops Billboard Album Charts
As predicted, Beyoncé took over the number one spot on this week’s Billboard 200 albums charts.
As predicted, Beyoncé took over the number one spot on this week’s Billboard 200 albums charts. According to Nielsen SoundScan, her fourth solo album, 4 has sold 310,000 copies. This also signifies her fourth solo No. 1 and fourth studio set to top the list. Thus, she is only the third act to see their first four studio albums to debut at the top of the Billboard 200. Britney Spears managed to conquer the charts with her first four between 1999 and 2003 whereas DMX’s first five offerings debuted at No. 1 between 1998 and 2003. This is more than impressive considering that Bey’s album is yet lacking a true hit single since her “Run the World (Girls)” peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Big Sean also made an impact on this week’s charts as his debut album Finally Famous lands on No. 3 with 87,000 units sold. Congratulations!
