Co-designed by the duo behind Baxter of California and Unionmade founder Todd Barket, this “KML” candle represents a distinct step forward for the Baxter brand, which has been making significant contributions to the field of men’s grooming since its inception in 1965 and subsequent re-branding in 2000. Having produced a piece with colette earlier this year, Baxter’s newest collaboration with UNIONMADE proves that the West Coast company can hold its own in the finer craft of scented candle-making. Inspired by campfires, the scent’s blend consists of a mix of sandlewood, guiacwood oil and a base of classically masculine musk. Designed to summon up the pleasantly comforting odor of burning wood and crackling embers, this “Battle Ship” grey-colored soy wax candle is packaged in a round craft paper box, carries a reflective gold “UNIONMADE” logo, and boasts about 60 hours of burn time.
