Tennis - Is It True? (Brenda Lee Cover)

If you’re a fan of indie music, you’ve probably heard some of Tennis’s summer-friendly tunes by now. The husband-and-wife duo struck a chord earlier this year with their sailing-inspired album, Cape Dory, but the story has only just begun for the Denver-based band. To keep their movement pushing onward, they decided to put their own twist on “Is It True?”, the 1964 gold-selling hit by Brenda Lee. With this cover, Tennis certainly infused their own style into the song. However, much of the flavor of the Jimmy Page-assisted original is still exuded.
