OCTV: Perfect Scrambled Eggs with Wylie Dufresne

Expanding their company from mere clothing connoisseurship into a true lifestyle brand, Opening Ceremony offers us the second video from their OCTV Food segment. Although the first OCTV Food clip featuring Momofuku’s David Chang is a tough act to follow, award-winning chef Wylie Dufresne makes for an excellent feature – teaching us how to whip up the perfect scrambled eggs. Known as a proponent of molecular gastronomy and founder of the Michelin-starred WD-50 on Clinton Street in Manhattan, Dufresne has been a force to reckon with in fine-dining circles for nearly 10 years. Although some of the ingredients in his scrambled eggs recipe (like house-made Lavash bread or fresh chives) may be tough to get your hands on, the general gist of it is easy to follow and the final product looks mouth-watering and satisfying. Offering some of Wylie’s favorite NYC spots to eat along the way, this quirkily-edited OCTV cooking segment and conversation with an important contemporary chef is definitely worth a watch.
