Lanvin 2012 Spring/Summer Collection

For Spring/Summer 2012, it appears as though Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz has decided to toughen up the soft, elegant look we’ve grown accustomed to seeing from him over the years. While a hint of that softness was still noticeable in the blousy tops, dyed leggings and cheery colors, a certain hardness came through in the form of leather shirts, stiffer fabrics, more structured outerwear and jackets, and blazers made from a coated material. A tribal, somewhat militaristic theme was also referenced with beaded necklaces and a number of printed trousers and tops. See more highlights from the collection below.
