Despite taking place several months ago, the lingering effects of Japan’s massive earthquake and tsunami are not exactly something easily forgotten. Within the realm of fashion, Japan’s influence and innovation has been prevalent ever since the likes of COMME des GARCONS and Yohji Yamamoto staked their claim in fashion and creativity amongst the global elite. Continuing with the rebuilding efforts, publications Vogue Japan and GQ Japan under the SAVEJAPAN! movement have joined forces to curate a special collection of celebrity-driven T-shirts with Uniqlo and its collaborative UT Project. Among the personalities coming on board include Karl Lagerfeld, Nicole Kidman, Lady Gaga, Victoria Beckham, Cyndi Lauper, Orlando Bloom, Karl Lagerfeld, Charlize Theron, Gwyneth Paltrow and Alber Elbaz. For more information, head over to Uniqlo. Each T-shirt retails for an affordable ¥1,500 JPY (approximately $19 USD).
