Showing what happens when two worlds collide, Ann Demeulemeester combines Moroccan-inspired designs with her signature androgynous, rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic for Spring/Summer 2012. A wide range of fabrics included everything from cotton and silk to leather and suede, adding just a hint of elegance and refinement to the wildly layered looks. Sleeveless vests and jackets appeared more polished than usual with the addition of shawl lapels, while cropped trousers and gauze-thin shirts in earthy tones seemed nothing short of effortless and wearable.
