Jake Davis Test Shots: Yimmy Yayo

Although hugely popular for his graphic, beautiful and at times controversial photomontage website Yimmy’s Yayo, very little has actually been known about its proprietor…until now. Captured by his friend Jake Davis, another blogger and photographer famous for his stylized short films of tastemakers from Gay Talese to Drake, Yayo’s identity has finally been revealed in this artsy test shot. Scored with Herbie Hancock’s “Jessica,” the inspiration for the sample on Mobb Deep’s “Shook Ones,” Yayo’s test shot is definitely worth a watch.
