Radio 1‘s Benji B premiered a new version of James Blake’s “Give a Man a Rod” on Thursday morning. The tune has now appeared as a video stream and will be released as part of a new Hessle Audio project, 116 and Rising, due May 16. Curated by the imprint’s three co-founders – Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound (aka Ramadanman) – the CD version is comprised of 12 all-new tracks, contributed from every producer who’s previously released a 12″ on Hessle. The new material will constitute the vinyl edition of 116 & Rising, which is a 12″ triple pack.
