Finding America: The Stronghold

The short film above introduces viewers to Michael Paradise, owner of Venice – a California-based denim brand The Stronghold. Originally established in 1895, The Stronghold was the first denim brand to be manufactured in Los Angeles and became known for Americana, craftsmanship and heritage. When Paradise began reproducing the line, he wanted to maintain that reputation and, to be historically correct and stay true to the brand, he decided to focus in on The Stronghold’s most iconic styles from the pre-war era.
