Alexander Wang New York Store Opening

American menswear designer Alexander Wang has been at the forefront of fashion news this past week. After being named the Best New Menswear Designer in America by GQ on Feb. 11, he showed his collection for Fall 2011 on Feb. 12 to an impressively positive response from critics. Finding no reason to slow his brand’s momentum, Wang drives forward, recently opening his first retail location in New York’s SoHo district. The 45,000 square foot space is adorned with white marble floors, black leather couches and Wang’s personal touch: a fox-fur hammock. Additionally, Wang has designed a collection of leather pieces he is releasing exclusively at his new space.
