Japanese camera company Ricoh announces a successor to its superzoom digital camera line with the CX6. The market for small compacts is still booming, and the CX6 is hoping to please both casual and enthusiast photographers. Highlighted features include a 10MP backlit CMOS sensor, standard aperture and shutter priority modes, 28-300mm equivalent image-stabilized lens, super-fast autofocus speeds of 0.1 seconds, and a 3.0-inch 1.23 million dot VGA LCD screen for accurate composition and review of images. Japanese domestic retailers are expecting to receive their stock on December 3 and will retail for ¥44,800 JPY (approx. $581 USD).
