The concept of hybridization is one that has consistently yielded some of the most interesting and quirky designs. Whether it’s footwear, fashion or the automotive world, the union of contrasting elements will hopefully create a progression in the world of design and performance. Local Motors have done exactly that by taking parts from across several companies and platforms to create a capable rally-ready, street legal car. Local Motors does things a little differently however as the $75,000 sticker price includes a trip to their compound to learn the ins and outs of the Rally Fighter since you’re required to build it yourself. Some of the tech specs include a GM 6.2L V8 churning out 430 hp and 424 lbs-ft of torque, Mazda MX-5 Miata door handles, Honda Civic Coupe tail lights, Ford F-Series side steering columns, and side mirrors lifted from the Dodge Challenger. A pre-order is available now here.
