Birdy – 1901 (Phoenix Cover)

Emerging UK artist Birdy has recently released her self-titled debut album, which features both covers and original tracks. Her impressive covers of Bon Iver‘s “Skinny Love” and The xx‘s “Shelter” have already garnered positive feedback, but now all eyes are on her rendition of Phoenix‘s “1901.” The young songstress offers a melodramatic interpretation of the energetic, guitar- and synth-driven single and has conquered the blogosphere with good reason.
