Back in September, adidas unveiled its boldest soccer project yet with the release of the adidas f50 miCoach. The f50 itself (especially in its leather version) had been extremely well-received in most recent iterations and up until recently, held the title of the world’s lightest boot. Keeping in mind its minimalist disposition with a penchant for technicality and innovation, the f50 miCoach incorporates adidas’s own miCoach tracking system. A technology that was commercially debuted and mostly reserved for the running world, all your efforts both in-game and on the training pitch can now be recorded for analysis thanks to a little fob that sits in the midfoot.
adidas bestowed upon us an exclusive pack which included a name-branded f50 miCoach that includes the miCoach, a name-branded training shirt, and a special neon green acrylic box. The colorway which features a reddish orange hue set against yellow is difficult to overlook, and seen on the feet of many pros in recent weeks in both league and international fixtures.
As a refresher to the previous post, the f50 will measure “key performance metrics including speed, average speed (recorded every second), maximum speed (recorded every five seconds), number of sprints, distance, distance at high intensity levels, steps and stride rates.” All this can be reviewed on an iOS device or PC to help tailor your workouts and improve on weaknesses.
Stay tuned for a detailed review in the coming weeks following a solid run-out.
