Rumors that the emerging star on the indie scene Lana Del Rey, formerly known as Lizzy Grant, has signed to Interscope Records have been floating around for months. This has now been confirmed by Billboard. In their “charts” section of this week’s issue of the magazine, a note about the first week sales of the “Video Games” / “Blue Jeans” single states:
“The recent Interscope Records signee’s debut album is due in early 2012.”
The songstress has already indicated that the arrival of her highly anticipated long-player could be as early as January during a brief interview at this year’s Q Awards in London. She has also posted about an upcoming single and video on her Facebook wall:
“Shooting video for my next single Born 2 Die in a castle in France with Woodkid. I absolutely know that you will adore it. Am thinking of You. XXX LDR X.”
