Today marks Kidrobot’s release of its first mini-figure toy series in about five years, created by Gary Baseman. Gary is an American contemporary artist, an Emmy-winning cartoonist and revered member of pop surrealism art in a variety of creative mediums, including illustration, fine art, animation and toy design. The Toby’s Secret Society begins with the namesake character who is the protector of dreams, memories and darkest secrets. With him are a group of eleven 3-inch figurine spirits and brethren that collectively represent the impulses of man. To celebrate the release, there will be a special signing at Kidrobot’s Melrose location in Los Angeles today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. For more information on this series visit the Kidrobot website here.
