Back in early September, the word has been out that Depeche Mode covered U2’s “So Cruel” which appears to have been recorded in the respective residences of Martin Gore (Santa Barbara) and Dave Gahan (New York). Now, coinciding with U2’s award for the Greatest Act Of The Last 25 Years at this week’s Q Award, the enigmatic piece has emerged in its full audio glory. The cover will appear on AHK-toong BAY-bi, a special tribute project which will be featured on today release of Q Magazine‘s issue #305. The project is up for purchase here.
