The New Balance H710 shoe is being released this Fall in various colorways and is a trainer/hiking boot hybrid. Gaining popularity by accident, the shoe is based on the Rainer hiking shoe and was first brought to attention by Lou Whittaker who stubbed his toe in a pair of hiking boots and decided to wear a lightweight tennis shoe instead. After successfully climbing Mount Everest in 1982 in a pair of New Balance’s, the H710 was born. This season the shoe is reinvented in bold colorways, the side logo is enlarged, low and mid cuts come in a suede or synthetic fabric and metal lace hugs, braided laces and sealed tongues ensure that no moisture will seep in. Look out for this style later this Fall at selected New Balance stockist’s throughout Southeast Asia.
