Known for their limited edition offerings, Leica’s X1 will see a second exclusive camera release in the future under the influence of an ostrich wrapped design. A steel gray body is surrounded by rich black ostrich leather to create a luxurious finish. The camera’s hardware itself is unchanged with a 12.2 MP CMOS sensor, fixed 24mm f/2.8 ASPH Elmarit lens and 2.7 inch LCD display. Word is that the Leica X1 Black Embossed Ostrich Limited Edition will be limited to only 80 pieces and available exclusively through ISETAN with a suggested price of ¥238,000 JPY (approximately $2,840 USD).
