The seventh installment of Curated by Arkitip is now available, featuring works by multimedia artist C.R. Stecyk III. From his early work on boards he painted for the Z-Boys to his iconic black and white photography of surf and skate legends, Stecyk is widely acknowledged as a major stylistic influence within graffiti and street art movements. Stecyk’s work for Curated by Arkitip highlights iconic imagery and color combinations representative of the early days of modern skate and surf culture. The 15″ MacBook Pro Sleeve features an early Stecyk photograph of Jay Adams, one of the original Z-Boys considered a progenitor of modern-day skateboarding. Stecyk’s skull design for the iPhone 3GS Snap Case recalls graffiti art that typified skateboarding in its early days, such as Stecyk’s infamous Pig and Crossbones graffiti piece that became a symbol for the nascent culture’s attitude and style. The Stecyk products are now available via the brand’s webstore.
