QUBIC out of New Zealand got into the festive spirit as they revamped their store to reflect the current participation of their beloved Kiwis at the 2010 World Cup. Earning its first ever point at the World Cup thanks to a last gasp equalizer from Winston Reid in the 93rd minute, the country has much to be proud as a nation of 4 million cheered on. In an installation titled “Flight of the Underdogs”, QUBIC was transformed to feature the Nike Sportswear “True Colors” collection as well as having a two-man foosball tourney in the spirits of the World Cup. Rounding out the project was the creation of a limited run of dog-tags featuring a bulldog to coincide with the “Flight of the Underdogs” theme.
