The collection mainly focuses on the Authentic Original, which was the first Sperry Top Sider boat shoe developed back in 1935. Shown here in brown and off-white reversed suede colorways, the shoe features a hand-sewn Tru-Moc construction, stain and water resistant leather upper, as well as a shock absorbing EVA heel cup. Both are available now through Son of a Stag at the price of £85.

On a winter’s day in Connecticut, Paul Sperry watched his dog, Prince, run across the ice and snow. He noticed his dog’s amazing ability to maintain traction on slippery surfaces. Studying the design of Prince’s paw inspired Mr.Sperry to create the patented “Razor Siping” pattern on the sole of the first Sperry Top Sider boat shoe. Introduced in 1936, the Authentic Original has become an icon of American Style and the leading performance boat shoe in the world.
