DC-rapper Marky marked his promising debut by delivering his rhymes over a 2004 Kanye West-beat which is always welcomed heartedly by you. On the same note Drake – who always draws the interest of our readers – unleashed his reference track for Jamie Foxx’s “Fall For Your Type”. J.Rocc did all of us a great favor by hand-picking the tracks for the collaborative release “Donut Shop Pack” that involves collectables influenced by legendary J Dilla. “Safety Dance” was among your favorites. Further noteworthy efforts were sent in by the always convincing Ohio-duo Black Keys with their superb Danger Mouse-laced “Tighten Up” as well as Taxi featuring Mos Def and Whosane – a new joint off Ski Beatz’s highly anticipated album “24 Hour Karate School”. Asher Roth prooved excellent taste for his freestyle “Hot Wangs” by choosing the instrumental of Talib’s “Hot Things”. Expect Drake’s alleged first single “Shut It Down” featuring The Dream from his debut offering “Thank Me Later” to cause plenty of discussion next week whereas eclectic crooner Erykah Badu confirmed that impatient anticipation for her upcoming album “New Amerykah pt. 2: Return of the Ankh” is in order.
