The most recent project to come from Atlanta-based retailer Wish is a varsity jacket, made in collaboration with Mitchell & Ness. Built on the Mitchell & Ness foundation of creating nostalgia, the project was inspired by various elements of Wish’s history since opening its doors in 2006. Wish resides in the building that once was the first Carnegie library in the city of Atlanta. The script, “Do Your Research” which is seen on the right chest, pays homage to the building’s beginnings. The black wool and white leather sleeved jacket features a Chenille “W” and “06” that are seen on the front giving nod to Wish and the year it was established. Elsewhere, a “447” patch on the left sleeve matches the shops street address, while a panther head mimics cosmetic design elements of the in-store build out. The jacket is now available from Wish (Moreland Ave.) and WishATL.com.
