The follow-up to the original Google Nexus One has surfaced with as the Google Nexus “S”. Produced in conjunction with Samsung, the Nexus “S” embodies many of the sensibilities within the brand’s current range of innovative Android-based phones. At the core of the phone is a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, 4-inch 800×480 Super AMOLED screen, a 5 MP rear facing camera, VGA front facing camera as well as a unique “Contour Display” shape for better ergonomics. However beyond all the hardware specs, the Google Nexus “S” also features the first device to feature the new Android Gingerbread 2.3 operating system. The phone will be available on December 16 for either $529 USD unlocked or $199 USD via a 2 year T-Mobile plan.
