Street artist Blu sparked controversy as one of his recent works was buffed within 24 hours after making its way onto the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. The politically-charged piece featured $1 bills over the face of several caskets and offers a strong general statement to the political affairs of the United States. The controversy stems from how Blu’s work factors into the upcoming show in April titled “Art In the Streets,” in which he is set to participate in at the MOCA. Questions are quickly rising in regards to what sort of philosophy Jeffrey Dietch has adopted since taking over at the MOCA.
